The Lazy Knitter – episode 7

This weeks episode is a little shorter as my week has revolved around spinning, spinning and more spinning due to Tour the Fleece. Nevertheless I still have an FO to show you and some wips to discuss. One unhappy project gets ripped out! I hope you enjoyed this episode!

Works in progress (or not)

  • Soleado Mitts: pattern is Soleado mitts by Feathered Whale Knits (paid pattern). I’m using a variety of leftover yarn. Size S. Knit on 2.5 mm (Us 1.5) and 3.0 mm (US 2.5) needles. FROGGED!
  • Fox paws cowl: pattern is fox paws by Xandy Peters (paid pattern). Yarn is Artesano Alpaca Silk 4 ply in Fawn, Robins egg, Violet Blue, and Signal blue. Modified by starting with a provisional cast on. Will finish by grafting ends together to create a cowl. Also only using 4 colors and will keep the same order of colors throughout. Knit on 3.5 mm (US 4).
  • Sneaker socks: own design. Yarn is Wollbutt Calgary in 6072 (green gradient). Knit on 2.25 (US 1) and 2.5 (US 1.5).

Shopping

  • Mini batts by Dutchwooldiva. Pack of 10 assorted 10 gram mini batts and 6 loose 10 gram mini batts.

Spinning

Knitting plans

  • Take it easy: my hands and body are tired from spinning so much so I want to take it easy with my knitting.
  • Work on sneaker socks. I would like to finish these before the next episode.
  • Maybe pick up my fox paws?

  • Vanilla socks: No specific pattern. Will do a traditional afterthought heel. Yarn is Regia by Arne & Carlos in colorway Star night (3653). Knit on 2.5 mm needles (US 1.5).

  • Thistle socks: own design. Yarn is World of yarn, the knitting traveler limited edition, colourway Frozen Rainbows. Knit on 2.5 mm needles (US 1.5).
  • Unnamed socks: own design. main yarn is G-B Wolle sprint in 685 (grey). CC1: Opal for Ladies & Gentlemen in Lebendig. CC2: Rico design Superba 100 Klassik 4-fädig in 103. CC3: ONline Linie 3 Supersocke 100 in 61. CC4: Drops Fabel in 111. Knit on 2.5 mm needles (US 1.5). Looking for name suggestions. If I pick your suggestion you get a free pattern of your choice from my Ravelry store.

Knitting plans

  • Finish the second thistle sock.
  • Finish the second unnamed sock.
  • Write out charts for Serpentine pattern.
  • Take pretty project pictures (serpentine, waiting for rain, all the dishcloths).
  • Get Serpentine pattern into testing.

Hello Everyone!

Yay! Episode 2! Let me start off by thanking everyone who commented here, on Youtube or on Instagram! It’s been absolutely amazing to see you all as excited about this as I am. It had me very motivated and excited to get to work on this second episode. I have a bunch of changes and improvements planned and will be implementing those over the next few episodes. One of the changes this episode was a proper intro and the new segment “Snippets”. I hope you enjoy this episode!
